8/21 Tues Fluke Report

We started off today at Ambrose Channel where we have been fishing the past few days. First few drifts only saw a few keepers & shorts. Had to move around a little bit and picked at fish everywhere we went. When we lost the tide there we headed over to the south channel and found the outgoing current and much better action. We had a nice pick of keepers there and on the last drift of the day Ben Szymanski from Manville Slammed a 6.12lb fluke to take the pool money. We had one limit today and fish all around the boat. Tomorrow will be our first Porgy trip and we will be leaving at 7am. We will also be OPEN BOAT Tomorrow night at 5pm and Fri on both trips. Weather looks good thru the weekend so come on down the fluke are out there waiting for you. Hope to see you soon. Thanks Capt.Mike

Weekend Report - Fluke & Bluefish

Over the weekend we had good fishing. Sat morning we had very good fishing with bluefish at the Mud Bouy up to 14lbs. Sunday morning we had the R.F.G Go Fish trip out for a nice day of fluking up to 4.3lbs. We fished Ambrose Channel all day with good action til the end of the trip when the current got to fast. Highlight of the trip was having a humpback whale come right out from under the boat and got a few people wet while putting on a show for us that is how close he was to the boat. Sunday's Magic Hours trip saw a slow start but good finish of fluke. Pool winner on that trip was Craig & Mark Montgomery Father & Son team from Roselle Park with a nice 3lb fluke. Thanks Capt.Mike

8/16 Good Fluke Fishing Again

Hey everyone fishing was good again today with tons of action all day. We fished Ambrose channel in the deep and in the shallows and we found the fluke everywhere we went. Both bait and Bucktails worked well. We have been using 6 to 12oz sinkers so make sure you bring a rod that can handle putting on a heavier sinker. We had one limit and most had 2 to 4 keepers all nice fish. Pool was split between Michael Piazza from Pocono Summit PA and William Kane from Old Bridge with 5.2lb fluke. Tomorrow we are Open Boat in the morning at 7:30am but Chartered tomorrow night all day Sat and the morning trip on Sunday. The fish are out there and if we dont get any big storms they should be out there for a while. Thanks Capt.Mike
